Indigenous-01.jpg

Indigenous

First Time Here

The band Indigenous will be making their Debut at the Lizzie Rose Music Room on July 16th. You might probably remember them from their debut album Things We Do that was released in 1999. The track "Now That You're Gone " reached #22 on Billboards Rock/ Blues chart and they have appeared on Conan O'Brians late night show, Austin City Limits, CBS Saturday Morning Show and they toured with B. B. King on his Blues History Tour. The band has also toured with Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews and Jackson Browne.

This is an all Native American band composed of family members. The band has a serious Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix vibe throughout their original compositions. Mato says that his guitar style is influenced by these two guitar greats, but it is not meant to copy them. The band has continued to tour the west coast, Midwest and are now expanding out to the east coast. This will prove to be a great night of rock blues and a delight for all the guitar players in South Jersey.

Popa Chubby 016.jpg

Popa Chubby

Popa Chubby has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 30 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force  to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his tempestuous, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaved head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson," Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures

Jax Hollow 01.jpg

Jax Hollow

We are proud to announce that Jax Hollow will be appearing at the Lizzie Rose Music Room. Do not let her small size fool you, this woman is fire and can kick butt with the best guitar slingers out today. She has an angelic voice that can be sweet and seductive and then turn it all around and get up in your face and pin you in your seat  with a gut punch vocal. The same goes for her ability on the guitar where she can shred when needed, then do a smokin' ballad and then kick out some great rock blues.

Jax has been getting a lot of great reviews for her live performances and she has been wowing audiences at several important venues. She is touring with a power trio set up that backs her up nicely and gives her a lot of room to explore around the melodies of the original compositions she has written. So, we are lucky to have been able to book her and we are certain that she will be ready to burn up the Lizzie Rose. Be sure to get your tickets early because once word gets out about this woman tickets will be gone quickly. Jax is a graduate of the prestigious Berkeley School of Music and got a standing ovation for her performance when she opened up for Melissa Ethridge on July 20th, 2023.

Alexis P Suter 06_edited.png

Alexis Suter Band

Raised in Brooklyn, NY by a musically gifted family, Alexis P Suter was infused with the passion and the belief that music is to be an emotional and spiritual experience. Miss Suter brings abundant love and energy into each of her performances. At an Alexis P. Suter Band show, the audiences dance and sing along to rollicking roots songs or funky blues numbers; then a few songs later are wiping tears stirred by an awe-inspiring version of "Let it Be" or other songs that touch deeply.

Alexis and her band are not just another musical act, but an energetic and emotional experience that fans return to time after time. Critics struggle to find words to describe her smooth, deep voice and unique style. Elmore Magazine summarized it well, "Suter is as fascinating to watch as to hear. A stunning, ample woman with the face of a cherubic African queen, her molasses contralto can whisper and purr, then swell into a pulsating wave of sound that radiates from the depths of her being".
